This role is pivotal in safeguarding our organization's integrity by ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. As the Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of ethical conduct and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting the Head of Compliance in controlling compliance risks by carrying out/implementing the compliance program.
Responsible for the preparation of regulatory and management reports, compliance testing and risk assessment and the promotion and enhancement of Compliance Culture.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Identify the relevant laws, rules, and regulations; prioritize the compliance risks and make preliminary assessment of the corresponding risks of non-compliance
- Periodic compliance testing with applicable legal and regulatory requirements
- Regulatory obligations and reportorial requirements are identified, monitored, and complied with.
- Prepares reports to various levels of management
Miscellaneous Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors regulatory issuances on a daily basis, prepares gap analysis and summary of the issuances and cascades to relevant units
- Analyzes and evaluates requests of other units for comments on compliance issues
- Ensures that files and records are complete and updated
- Assist in Internal Audit and BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) Onsite examination
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Compliance from time to time
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or similar degree.
- At least 3 years’ banking experience; at least 1 year in Compliance function
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in English
- Fit and proper criteria such as integrity/probity, competence, education, diligence and experience/training
- Passionate about making a difference in the unbanked segment
